Reviews and Ratings
My stay was quite a mix of experiences. The hotel has lovely staff who show great dedication to customer service, and I appreciated the lush surroundings. However, my room was far too hot with inadequate cooling and the dining options left much to be desired, especially considering the pricing. Despite the beautiful setup, some aspects could definitely be improved.
Wivenhoe House is a charming retreat nestled within the university grounds, offering a relaxing atmosphere and a spacious, well-appointed Constable suite. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff going the extra mile, but the dining experience could use some improvement in terms of consistency. Overall, the hotel provides good value for money, especially with their packages, but some details in the dining service left us wanting more.
I had a lovely time during my brief stay for graduation. The views from my room were fantastic, and the food was delicious. However, the service at the bar could use some improvement, as I had to frequently go to the counter to get my drinks. Overall, a nice experience with a beautiful setting, but a few service issues detracted from it.
Overall, my stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable with spacious rooms and a lovely dining experience. The staff's dedication truly shone through, though there were a few hiccups during breakfast that left me wanting more efficiency. The location, nestled within the university campus, added a unique charm, albeit with a slightly unconventional arrival experience.
Overall, my experience at Wivenhoe House was quite enjoyable, highlighted by their lovely afternoon tea and generally spacious rooms. However, the dining experience during dinner did not meet expectations, with some dishes arriving lukewarm. The location within the university grounds offers a unique charm, but the approach to the hotel could use a touch-up. For the value, the break package we booked was definitely worth it, despite the few drawbacks.
